Dirty Anesthesia Drug Guide
The Dirty Anesthesia Drug Guide was created as a "down and dirty" tool for all anesthesia providers to quick reference many drugs we use in today's operating room.  My hope is that it is as useful for you as it has been for myself.

Author/References

I originally was not going to put anything about who I am on this site because I just didn't want the attention.  However, after thinking about it I realize that it probably gives this guide a little bit more substantiation.  So here goes...

My name is Jacob Deeds and I am an active duty CRNA in a branch of our Armed Forces.  I graduated from the US Army Graduate Program in Anesthesia Nursing with a MSN from Northeastern University, Boston, MA.  My undergraduate degree is a BSN from Creighton University, Omaha, NE.  I currently practice as a staff CRNA at a military facility in Hawaii where my wife and I now live.  I created this guide from a much smaller, basic version of drugs that I used to study and memorize in my training.  After modifying it over and over(and over), stretching it from about 20 drugs to over 80, handing it out to my fellow classmates(you know who you awesome people are), and carrying it around to the various hospital OR's, I had enough interest in it from anesthesiologists, CRNA's, and anesthesiology residents that I decided that it might actually be something others would want.  I am always updating this to keep it as current as possible so the version you buy today will be slightly different than the version someone might buy next year.  However, they will be very close.

As you look at the drug dosages, onsets, peaks, half lives, etc., we all know that from book to book you will see different values.  So, please, realize that the data is not as perfect as you would want it to be but it will provide you with good information to make certain clinical decisions.

Again, thank you for your interest in this guide and feel free to show it to others and pass on the website.  Good luck to you and if you have any good information/requests/suggestions, please email me at dirtyanesthesiadrugguide@yahoo.com.
