This reference guide was developed as a study tool for me when I first started my anesthesia training. After modifying it over and over countless times, it had become something I had to have with me in the OR everyday. The tool is a 8.5" x 11" front and back guide with the dose, peak, duration, half-life(T1/2b), elimination, mechanism of action, and much more of over 80 drugs used today(see link above for an example). The column I really find useful is the "Miscellaneous" column. It states some VERY important specifics about the drug such as what it does to hemodynamics, respiratory function, implications on ICP, histamine release, neuraxial effects, therapeutic indices, Pka's, context-sensitive half times, when to use it with caution or avoid it completely, and so much more. It remains an EXCELLENT study tool for a SRNA/Anesthesiology resident or as I use it now...a quick reference for times when I want to know RIGHT NOW in the OR. This guide has also turned out to be a great resource for Critical Care Nurses and all physicians involved in Critical Care. Each guide is $15. For your own guide, see the "How To Order" tab above or click here. I hope you love it and please let your friends know, as well. Thanks.
